Under Development - Completion Mid 2024

This mixed reality (MR) training tool utilizes a section of an actual wind turbine blade (mounted in an indoor training lab) with superimposed damage (virtual).  The user is suspended by ropes exactly as in an actual inspection or repair activity.  The combination of physical motion, tactile feedback, real imagery, and virtual imagery allows the user to experience multiple training scenarios in a safe and low-cost environment.  Access to high-risk activities and elimination of the need to shut down a working turbine increase training effectiveness while lowering costs and risks.
